Western Washington

Didn't go as planned

Originally we were going to spend our time in the Cascades granted we only were going for 2 nights, but we made a last-minute decision also to try to hit up Mt. Rainier National Park for the 2nd night. We drove past dozens of beautiful places because we were trying to get there before the sun went down and unfortuntly got caught up in Seattle traffic which ended up leading us to not have the proper amount of time to attempt to create a killer YouTube video about the trip. Oh well, you win some you loose some right?

Washington Pass

This was probably my favorite part about the entire trip. Washington Pass Overlook. To think I live only 4.5 hours away from this almost 360-degree view of the cascades blows my mind. I could've spent all day there trying to get the best shot. I will go back one day and plan my whole trip around shooting there during golden hour.

Dry Lake bed

On our way home we were all pretty tired, but as we were driving along a dry lake bed, out of the corner of my eye I saw a truck down there. Naturally, I slowed down and found an entrance down the lakebed. Jesse noticed me slow down and asked if we wanted to turn around. We ended up flying the drones there and driving the rigs around for a bit. Well worth it!

Rainier National Park

We were awake and on the road fairly early thanks to the rain. From the top of the park, we were surrounded by beauty. This picture was taken facing the opposite direction of the next picture. I was in awe and wished my Dad could see it with me. My favorite memory with him was going to Glacier national Park with him as a kid. Theres nothing like driving in these national parks and waiting for nature to revel whats around the next corner.

Mt. Rainier Entrance

I had no idea what to expect when getting the the top of the park. As a photographer, cloudy weather is a good thing. So I was happy but nervous because the fog might not reveal enough of Mount Rainier's sheer beauty and height, but after rushing around this whole trip I finally felt like these photos made it all worth it.
