Sawtooth Overlanding
Passion for an adventure on wheels
One for the books
This was a special trip for me, one of a kind I could say. If you dont know, this truck belonged to my dad and he was building it to go overlanding. It was his dream and almost all he ever talked about. He constantly worked on the truck. Despite his injuries he always talked about leaving one day in the truck for a while. Well he ended up passing away in May 2023 and I am here to fulfill his dream with doing excatly what he wanted to do. I felt my Dads presence on this trip. He protected us while most likely smiling ear to ear watching us the entire time.
Bitterroot National Forest
First night, we started climbing this mountain around 9:45 pm so it was dark and was quite the ride up to the top. We were on the trial for about 40 mins and had no idea what we would be waking up to. We had the entire campsite to ourselves. We quickly set up camp and enjoyed eachothers company before getting some rest for the next day...and this is what we woke up to!
Headed out
After a few yawns and morning stretches, we took surrons for a rip around the lake and got some footage on my drone. We wanted to make some serious progress that day so we were on our way before we knew it. This photo was taken on our way to Lake Como. It was an incredible trail. The Colorado handled it like a beast!
Sawtooth Camp
This was our final resting place for 2 nights with an incredible veiw of the Sawtooth ridges in the background. We both had our windows open on the other side of our tents and had the opportunity to wake up to a gorgeous sunrise. We ate good food and created a memory that'll last a lifetime. The trip was truly life-changing.
E-bike Surrons
All 3 of us brought our Surrons which are E-bikes if you didn't know already. On our last full day, we took them for a 12-mile ride to Redfish Lake. It was an incredible journey and experience slowing geting closer and closer to the Ridges. We had to work together to conserve battery life by switching bikes every so often or we wouldn't have been able to make it.
