Yellowstone & Grand Tetons

My Biggest Solo Trip yet

I recently took some PTO without knowing exactly where I wanted to go, and I didn’t decide until the night before I left. At the last second, I planned a bucket list trip to Yellowstone and the Grand Tetons. It turned out to be everything I imagined and more. From witnessing the incredible wildlife, like bison roaming freely, to taking in the breathtaking views of the Teton Range, the trip was life-changing in every way.

Schwabacher's Landing

I would say this is the 2nd most famous spot in the Tetons to take sunrise photos, if your serious about getting the opportunity to photograph here you must show up early before the parking is full. I woke up at 5 a.m. and the main lot was already full. I did this my first morning in the Tetons and it was a life changing moment.

Elk during Golden hour

Right after i shot at Schwabacher's Landing I headed staright to Morman Row to check out the barns. Whenever you see people pulled off on the side of the road, that means they see something, I saw a small pack of Elk decenlty far away and this guy was standing with mountins towering over him in the distance.

Huge pack of Bison

My last day leaving the Tetons on my way back up to Yellowstone I Ran into a huge pack of Bison, there had to be hundreds scattered throughout a feild, it was right as the sun was coming up and it was truly majestic. Me along with about a dozen photographers stood there admiring there beauty. I will never forget that moment.

Yellowstone Cow girl

On my way to Lamar Valley I passed this woman on a horse and had to ask if i could take a photo, she told me that she offers horse tours in Yellowstone. I thought about how badly i wanted to try that but my original plan was to ride a horse in the Tetons instead of yellowstone which unfortunately never happened becuase i ended up hurting my back.
